RECENTLY,
I have deeply enjoyed connecting with the crew at CH Projects (a hospitality group I have the pleasure of being CXO* of) sharing my passions, knowledge, and art while working towards a medium that helps me connect with more members of our team (or humans of the world) while pushing me to be better personally, and more creative as a result.
* CXO as in.. our interpretation. Since I’m not the most eloquent at describing my job, its equal parts operation, and ambiance… or, to use the words of our founder:
Here, you will find my musings.
What I am reading, what I am learning, what I drew, what's holding me back, and what's pushing me forward.
The goal is to find comfort in the uncomfortable nature of an ambivert, exploring being visible.
This started, inspired by
and , after toying with the idea of curating a similar hub, here.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
At CH HQ™, we put through a mission of documenting what we do to be better at what we do, every week. A mission founded by just that.. our founder, Arsalun. Some would call it an obvious mission, without much clarity needed; others, like myself, pushed for something more profound—we strive to find the why.
This why came with a dose of clarity and an adage we reflect on regularly: "COMFORT IS A SLOW DEATH." You could pair that alongside "EVOLVE OR DIE" and start to see a bit of what we strive for.
So, with that and the mission to improve CH and myself, I set out to connect. My first attempt was a live Q&A. To be fair, the questions were not live, but I was, in all my awkward glory. The morning of, I sent a questionnaire to all staff, with one question—"GREAT TO SEE YOU HERE, WHAT CAN I ANSWER FOR YOU ON THE MID MORNING MANTRA TODAY ABOUT THE WORLD OF CH PROJECTS, LEADERSHIP, MINDFULNESS, THE DIGITAL LANDSCAPE, FUTURE PROJECTS, AND BEYOND?".
I got a splash of 6 questions, answered on camera, while feeling myself grow in the process.
The why of the why I'm explaining all of this is because it did gain some traction—enough to motivate me to keep going, and enough where more crew had reached out about finding a space to re-watch. The first hub was born, and in the name of constant growth, I wanted to explore Substack as a method to push me to update the world on a regular basis and create something worth reading.

To update and stay on the intended path, here are a couple of pieces of data and reality that are currently piquing my interest.
W A T C H _ CW&T Founders speak at Stamps School of Art & Design. CW&T is a brand, a studio, an enigma in its own right pushing the boundaries of thought-provoking design, doing it all as a couple, and managing the entirety of their OPS with integrity.
Their mission statement is inspiring:

R E A D _ Mentioned in the hub is McGlue, a novella, finished last week. The author, Ottessa, caught my eye when looking for something to pull me into an immersive world, and it did not disappoint. It brings me home to the salt air of New England but twists reality into the past and the language towards the extreme, highlighting the misanthropic adventures of a soggy drunk accused of murder when in port.
This week's read will be Its Your Ship, assigned to our small “corporate” OPS team as insightful—having inspired some aspirational success in the management world… more on this book to come.
C O N S U M E _ Julio Cesar Delgado made my section of the inspiration board for this week, and I cannot pull myself away from the mesmerizing beauty of the videos showing creation after consuming more about his inspiration.

So stoked for this!!! 👏🏽
